Research & Training

We strongly believe the ability to provide our clients with superior plant health service is a function of active research and on-going staff training.

The result of this belief is a separate research and training department staffed by those with advanced degrees in plant science. We therefore equip our plant health consultants with research generated information and continuous training for better plant health management decisions. Values of woody plants can be in the tens of thousands of dollars, not to mention the emotional value.

Our most recently completed research was on the prevention of Pine wilt of  Scots pine-caused by the pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus).  The manuscript has recently been published in the Journal of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry under the title- Prevention of Pine Wilt of Scots Pine With Systemic Abamectin Injections.

NOTE: We also share our research and other information with many premier  landscape design companies to help them maintain or gain knowledge in the science of plant health as it applies to their landscape service mix. A list of these preferred landscape designers is available upon request.
